Each of the Earth’s minerals has a crystalline form with a specific molecular arrangement. For example, diamonds are crystalline carbon (extreme pressure forces structural changes as molecules adjust to the pressure). Structural organization changes the characteristics of the substance; some of these changes are obvious—like the visible difference between carbon and diamonds.

Water, too, has a crystalline form—ice. Yet research reveals water has a second crystalline form – a liquid crystal. Although molecules remain mobile in liquid crystalline form, they tend to move together, like a school of fish. This is structured water—also referred to as organized water, hexagonal water, and liquid crystalline water. Liquid crystals are a unique phase of matter. Like solid crystals, the repeating pattern provides an efficient pathway for the smooth flow of energetic information. Liquid crystals store and transmit information just like solid crystals, yet they are flexible and many times more responsive.

Much of the water in a healthy human body is in a liquid crystalline/structured state. Many components of the body are also considered to be liquid crystals, including collagen and cell membranes. These tissues work cooperatively with structured water to create an informational network that reaches every cell. It is the liquid crystalline organization of the human body that accounts for the instantaneous transfer of signals and other biological information.

Healthy DNA is also surrounded by structured water; as water loses its crystalline structure (with age and disease), the integrity of DNA is often compromised. It is structured water that is responsible for the DNA’s stability and for the maintenance of a strong electromagnetic field around it. Youthful DNA, surrounded by liquid crystalline/structured water, has a much stronger electromagnetic field than DNA from elderly individuals.

Molecular structure

Water’s crystalline structure is based on tetrahedral geometry where oxygen atoms form the center of each tetrahedron. Under ideal circumstances, as water tetrahedra join together, a repeating hexagonal pattern emerges with oxygen atoms forming the vertices of each hexagon. This is the reason liquid crystalline water has also been referred to as hexagonal water.

The existence of life in the entire universe is determined by the presence of water. About 71 percent of the Earth is covered with water and every living thing depends on it. Water has been revered by people throughout history. Around the world and across different cultures, “water ceremonies” are performed to heal people, animals, and plants. It has been known for its healing properties. But aside from being the source of life and its therapeutic properties, did you know that water has memory? You might have heard it from Disney’s beloved character, Olaf.

But what does it really mean?
According to Dr. Masaru Emoto, a Japanese researcher who became popular (especially in the world of alternative healing) for his work on water and energy, our vibrational energy, including our words, sounds, and even intentions (even including our thoughts and ideas), can affect the crystals of water. Whatever the water feels, hears, and sees stimulates its change in molecular structure as it copies, memorizes and carries information. In light of this discovery, we can say that water does have a memory. It has the ability to retain whatever it is exposed to.

In his experiment, Dr. Emoto played music, displayed words, and said a prayer to the water while it was freezing, and when it was frozen, it formed crystal shapes unique to each stimulus. He found out that intricate and beautiful shapes were created when the music and words were loving and positive. In contrast, chaotic and incoherent patterns were formed when water was exposed to negative and harsh stimuli. But how is this finding relevant to us? In his book, The Hidden Messages in Water, Dr. Emoto wrote, “If we have a clear understanding of water, we will better understand the human body, and even unlock the mystery of why we were born.” That same water makes up 50 to 75 percent of our body. It transports energy and nourishment throughout our bodies. Hence, we can use our thoughts and words to create positive change in the water around us and even within us.

Water has memory

Even more fascinating are increasing new revelations that water is the medium of consciousness.

Evidence suggests that the malleable structure of water is far more significant than our preoccupation with its chemistry. The geometric clustering of water molecules are altered by the subtlest of influences. Hundreds of thousands of information panels constitute these geometric structures. They register energetic imprints from substances, activities and the frequency of thought to which water has been exposed. This attribute is sometimes referred to as the ‘memory’ of water.

Human emotions change water

Evidence shows that any substance that contacts water leaves a trace upon it. However, human emotions are the strongest influence. Water constitutes, migrates and interpenetrates everything. All is connected by water. We can change our world, via water, by the conscious use of thought and feeling.

Our ancient traditions of using ‘holy’ water spring from this knowledge. The frequency of prayer corrects the water already inside the body. Water is the information carrier that changes the blood, tissues and reflects the very character of human consciousness.

The Earth, our planetary body, is a giant container of water. It, too, responds to the quality of our thoughts and feelings. Love increases the frequency that imprints upon water.

Primordial intelligence

Interestingly, it is water we seek to determine the presence of life (consciousness!) on other planets. Water brings a pre-existing impulse to life. It creates the structure of DNA and proteins. Every seed and embryo begins in water, the carrier of the biological intelligence that is the determiner and means of change.
